Cricket may not be a sport most Malaysians play themselves, but as a spectator sport it holds a special place — especially among the Indian-Malaysian community and those who studied in Commonwealth countries. And when IPL season rolls around every April to June, cricket betting platforms like mrtm888 consistently attracts a large number of active players from across Malaysia.
What makes cricket betting at mrtm888 is the sheer breadth of markets on offer. Not all online betting platforms in Malaysia take cricket seriously – many only offer basic match-winner bets. But at mrtm888, you'll find over 40 market types for every major match, from straightforward match-winner markets to highly specific ones like total runs in the first 6 overs, Man of the Match, or which team wins the toss.
The Indian Premier League, or IPL, is the most followed T20 cricket league in the world – including Malaysia. Every IPL season brings together the biggest names in global cricket, from players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and MS Dhoni to international stars from Australia, England, South Africa, and the West Indies, all competing across 10 different franchises.
At mrtm888, IPL coverage is comprehensive – every match comes with a full range of markets, live odds updates, and player statistics refreshed every over. Malaysian fans who follow the IPL closely can put their in-depth knowledge of their favourite teams to good use when placing more informed bets. Teams like Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Kolkata Knight Riders consistently drive the highest betting activity on mrtm888.
Betting on IPL at mrtm888 goes well beyond just picking a match winner. You can wager on the top scorer for each game, which bowler will take the most wickets, whether a player will hit a half-century or century, total runs in the power play, and much more. This makes every IPL match at mrtm888 a far more engaging experience.
If the IPL is all about the thrill of domestic league cricket, the ICC T20 World Cup and ICC Cricket World Cup (ODI) are about national pride. When India faces Pakistan at an ICC tournament, it's more than just a cricket match — it's an event watched by hundreds of millions of people around the world. And at mrtm888, these are the moments that bring the biggest betting opportunities in the cricket calendar.
For major ICC matches, mrtm888 opens betting markets several days before the first ball is bowled. You can place early bets on the match winner, then follow up with live bets as the situation unfolds on the field. Savvy bettors who combine pre-match and live betting often secure the best overall odds value.
Beyond ICC T20 and ODI, mrtm888 also covers Test Match cricket — the most traditional and longest format of the game. Even though a Test Match spans five days, there are compelling day-by-day markets to bet on, including who will lead at the end of day one, how many wickets will fall in a given session, and whether the match will end in a result or a draw.
Malaysia has an active national cricket team competing in the ICC World Cricket League and at the Asian level. While they may not be in the same league as powerhouses like India, Australia, or England, the Malaysian national cricket team has shown encouraging progress in recent years. mrtm888 covers Malaysian cricket team matches in the ICC World League, Asia Cup, and international friendlies — giving Malaysian players a more meaningful way to support their own team.
When Malaysia is playing, the odds on our team always offer attractive multipliers when we pull through. And with the market coverage available at mrtm888, you're not just watching the match with more excitement — there's an extra satisfaction when your analysis proves right and the winnings follow.

"During IPL season I open mrtm888 every single day. The markets are the most comprehensive of any platform I've tried — per-over betting, top scorer, wicket taker, everything's there. Last week I bet on MI winning with a handicap and walked away with RM16,800. GrabPay deposit cleared almost instantly."
"I love betting on Man of the Match at mrtm888 because the odds are great and it feels amazing when you get it right. This ICC T20 World Cup season I've won a few MOM bets already. The platform is fast – no loading issues even on mobile data while watching a live match."
"I support the Malaysian cricket team, and it's great to see mrtm888 covering our matches too. When Malaysia plays UAE, I can bet on it straight away. The odds for a Malaysia win can get pretty good — last week I took home RM11,200 from a 3-match IPL parlay. Withdrawals are fast too, money was in my Maybank within 10 minutes."
